So, by now you should be starting to get the picture of what is involved in creating and living your Personalized Blueprint For a Long Healthy and Wealthy Retirement Life.
And there will be some thoughts arising that are putting doubts and fears in your mind.
So first off, you need to understand that your mind’s sole purpose is to keep you from harm based on your past experiences that it has carefully stored away for future reference.
So that when things arise that may have caused possible or actual danger in the past, it can send you a warning via a thought, or a series of thoughts to remind you off the potential risk.
Now, in the early days of mankind, this was mostly to trigger the “Fight or Flight” response. So that of you were confronted with a real danger, eg a Sabre Toothed Tiger it would probably trigger the flight response -i.e. run away as fast as possible, or climb the nearest tree. Or for something less dangerous that you had managed to overcome in thje past, the Fight response.
But nowadays, certainly in developed nations, these concerns are highly unlikely to arise. But fundamentally, the mind still sends you thoughts designed to “Keep You In Your Comfort Zone”
(I.e. Situations based on past experience that have not been seen as a risk).
So What Does That Mean For Me?
Unfortunately, making big changes in your life is definitely not going to be within your confort zone, so your Mind will send thoughts the discourage you from taking those actions.
Your mind is not concerned with your personal development and improvement, because thats not in it’s job description
So, at this stage in the process, chances are you may be thinking something like:
“This sounds exciting but I don’t think it’s going to happen in time for me to get the benefits.
Besides, how can I be sure that this Longevity is really going to work
Or “I’m too old to start a new career or learn new things, I’ve tried other things to improve my life and they didn’t work. I think maybe I’m just too old to learn new things”
Or maybe at a deeper level, you are simply afraid of failure. What your friends and family might say or think (“I told you so”, or “I told you it’s too late to make big changes”, or much worse! )

I call these The “3 Big Secrets” because those 3 seem to be the most common concerns I have heard over the past few years as I have discussed this with my followers
The 3 Big Secrets:
Secret 1 Longevity Science and Medicine are real, and will work for you, whatever your age, if you take action now
The longevity revolution is already happening in longevity science and medicine, biotechnology, genetics, medical science, nanotechnology and 3D Printing, and is going to result in a quantum leap in our lifespan;
But equally important – how long we will stay healthy (i.e. our healthspan).
In fact I am already using a number of new supplements to overcome some of the things that happen when you grow older, and there are new treatments becoming available all the time with some really exciting breakthroughs starting to happen.
So, taking action right now in all the key areas of your lifestyle, to stay healthy and active, will increase your chances of being around and in the best possible shape to take advantage of these imminent benefits.

Secret 2. “Mature people are as capable of learning new things as younger people; in fact, they have some distinct advantages”
I started learning online marketing when I was 65 & at that time, I knew nothing about Longevity Science.
And I was not good online. In my corporate career, I’d always had a PA to fix my PC or sort out anything technical when I got stuck.
But I progressively learned how to do so many new things and now I am doing things online that I wouldn’t have dreamed I could ever do.
I even coached completely inexperienced people in a business I was part of for 2 years to place and write their ads; and many of my students were mature people.
And I didn’t even know Longevity science existed. But I have followed the developments as they have happened, and the progress being made has led to much wider interest and belief.
I will share some of the key things that are already happening. The science and terminology can be complex, but you don’t need to understand all the Techno jargon to take advantage of it.
(It’s kinda-like driving a car. We all do that, but we don’t need to understand all the science and technology that makes cars work)

Secret 3 – Choose not to associate with, or be influenced by the disbelievers and negative people that surround you
The most difficult issues you will face are:
– What you believe you are capable of doing, i.e. your limiting beliefs.
How you think and behave habitually will determine your life path, and you are in control of that. For some of us this may not be an easy to change to make, after all “old habits die hard” but just being aware of the possibilities and determined to make changes, to make the most of your later life, means you are already 75% of the way there. 🙂
You need to believe in yourself, so
– The extent to which you choose to associate with and be influenced by the disbelievers and negative people that surround you; and rest assured they will be there-just look around you, you will know who they are.
A simple way to make this change is to consciously spend more time with people with a positive outlook; get a group of people together to help each other to achieve their goals, or join a more formal group, community or club that has a positive and uplifting agenda; either of these can work wonders for your mindset.
Unfortunately, chances are your good friends and even family members will probably be some of the most vocal critics.
You need to understand that the truth (whether they realise it or not), is not that you intend to change your life, but they don’t have the courage or mindset to change their own.
So don’t take it personally. What I did when I started, and started to get criticised, even mocked and laughed at, was simply to minimise my contact with those people or groups of friends or just avoid them altogether.
Of course, that’s not easy with family, but minimise the contact, and once you start to get some wins, which you will, just share those with them 😊
These types of Fears and concerns will arise, because your mind is good at it’s job, and in many situations that can be helpful.
But all progress in life is made outside your comfort zone.
So if this journey did not require you to so some things that were not in your comfort zone, chances are you would already have done them.
This Journey is about growing you. At the end of this journey if you complete it, you will be a bigger person. Things that once seemed impossible or too hard will now seem a lot easier because you will have grown.
And the good news is that this is likely to make you a better person in every aspect of your life. now and in the future.
The Bottom line is : You Must believe in Yourself, that you can do this. Without belief, failure is inescapable.
Your belief in yourself is the single biggest factor that will decide your success or failure, in this and anything else in your life.
